Received a charter in 1917 and opened for business in 1918. Built a plant in Natick which produced top of line trucks. The founder was Ralph E. Northway, former chief engineer for the Dodge brothers and famous consultant to the early auto industry. He was involved with various companies in Michigan and Ohio including General Motors and Ford before moving to New England. Northway left the company in 1922 to join “Maxim Motor Co.” in Middleboro. One source suggest the Treasurer absconded with company funds and forced the firms failure.

There’s a new upscale Downtown Porsche dealership under construction near Toronto’s tiny Distillery District. The sleek, 34,000-square-foot project is a steel-frame, glass and concrete structure, emerging at Front and Parliament across the street from the current dealership building.

Nice work if you can get it, but for general contractor Northway Construction Co. Ltd. of Concord, Ont., this happens to be the seventh notch in its high-end auto dealership portfolio since 2000.

It is also a municipality, and a county of its own. Oslo is not one of the most appealing cities, compared to other European capitals, but this spacious city has a quite few prime sights, particularly museums and no shortage of outdoor attractions and activities around the city.

Byporten Shopping has a unique blend of shops. Oslos newest shopping centre is situated right beside Oslo Central Station and includes more than 70 shops, 10 restaurants, a Scandic Hotel, Norways largest Mique store, Norways largest Egon Restaurant and an underground car park. Paleet Shopping Centre is the most elegant shopping and food court at the upper part of the main street Karl Johans gate. It includes 45 shops and 13 restaurants with a range you will not find anywhere else. Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle built around 1300 and modernized in the 17thC. Even if war is not your favourite subject the site is green and pleasant, and the view overlooking the city and harbour is worthwhile. This one will look at a similar initiative, but on a global scale. HyNor, the Hydrogen Road of Norway, joins various industries together in order to accomplish a goal that has been in the making for several years. Although 2008 is the final year of this project it began in 2005. The beginning conceptualization started 2 years prior that in 2003.

Because of Norway’s vast resources in hydro power, natural gas and biomass, the country is an ideal location to attempt such an endeavor. They have secured backing from a number of interest groups who believe the ideas formulated through HyNor are achievable. In addition, the changeable climatic conditions that Norway experiences allows the project to test the reliability of hydrogen energy “”under conditions of large seasonal fluctuations and cold ambient temperatures.”" This then extends to various segments of the world and will demonstrate the practicality of a hydrogen energy based transportation system.

The overall area of this country is somewhere around 150,000 square miles. In other words, it can be said that the area of Norway is slightly more than the area of New Mexico State of America. The capital of this country is Oslo and this is also the biggest city in entire Norway with population of more than 520,000. Some of the other big cities of Norway are Bergen, Trondheim with population of around 150,000 and Stavanger with population of 110,000.

The topography of Norway is not that much friendly and can be called very intense. It contains some very high plateaus, steep fjords, mountains and some very fertile valleys. The climate is also full of varieties and it can be very pleasant around the coastal areas and surprisingly cooler in the inner part of the country. Because of its northern most position on the globe, it experiences long days during summer season and long nights during winter season. During summer, you can witness sunlight until the midnight and therefore, Norway is also known as the land of midnight sun.
